DaVita Vice President - Finance and Reimbursement in Vernon Hills, Illinois



VP of Finance and Reimbursement will direct all aspects of

accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger,

receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.This

position provides advice and leadership on financial and reimbursement

processes to support the mission and objectives of Lifeline and network of

clients. Provide consultative support

and coordinate activities to support Lifeline clients regarding all aspects of

health care financial and revenue cycle management.



Position has full supervisory responsibility

for recruitment, retention, hiring, professional development, performance

review, succession planning, and termination for all direct reports.



The following duties and responsibilities

generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be

all inclusive.

• Provide strategic and tactical direction

and management oversight to the Reimbursement function

o Analyze payments to optimize revenue for services provided

o Ensure collections from all third party payors and follow-up on

outstanding claims

o Advise senior management of reimbursement policies that could

affect revenue and provide analysis of reimbursement changes as they occur

o Develop tools and manage quality and productivity metrics to

improve performance of function

• Approve financial resources allocations

including expenses, salary administration, and budget

• Administer third-party payor contracts

and, where appropriate, negotiate new contracts and contract renewals

• Ensure billing and collection practices

are compliant with all federal and state reimbursement programs

Provide senior management and field operations and customers with

accurate billing and coding information

Provide physicians with information relative to the correct

billing and coding of procedures

Work with outside consultants, lobbyists, government agencies

(including CMS), local Medical Directors and Regional offices to achieve

appropriate reimbursement for invoices

Know, understand, implement, follow, and communicate to teammates

all Lifeline and/or DaVita employment policies and procedures, awards, and

other opportunities within company and foster a positive work environment

Travel required: up to 10%


(Education, licenses,

certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties,

include computer skills as required):

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration or

equivalent work experience (minimum of 4 years in lieu of degree) strongly preferred

Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business management and/or

Accounts Receivable management required

Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel required;

intermediate skills and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook required; familiarity

with PowerPoint required
