The Nurse Administrator reports tothe Center Support Manager and is responsible for day-to-day efficientoperations of the center and medical management.
* Essential Functions: *
Oversees patient care evaluation and suggests improvementsto better meet patient needs.
Assists team in educating patient/family, follows JSAstanding orders/protocols, and assists patients with external resources whenneeded.
Follows responsibilities of Case Manager; recruits, selectsand assigns all professional, technical and support personnel.
Supervises all personnel, assures the proper application ofstandard operating procedures, and implements corrective actions asrequired.
Responsible for utilization controls of healthcareresources, tending, and intervention.
Responsible for fiscal management:accounts receivable, deposits, budget,billing, monthly reporting, and purchasing.
Responsible for the accurate review, justification, andcontestation of Part A and Part B claims.
Evaluates and recommends health delivery network changeswith the Center Medical Director.
Coordinates all staff meetings for professional, technical,and support staff departments.
Provides continuous analysis of all operational activitiesand practice development.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, BusinessAdministration, or related health field preferred
Current Florida LPN or RN license
- Five years’ experience in PrimaryCare, three in a management capacity
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to supervise the provisionof Family Practice/Primary Care services and other specialized services
Knowledge of personnel management
Ability to learn and implementappropriate Federal, State, and local regulations
Ability to manage budgets
Ability to develop and implementrequired plans
Ability to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language fluently
Ability to implement and monitorbilling policies and procedures
Demonstrated supervisory and personnelmanagement skills
Excellent planning andorganizational skills
Results and goal-oriented
Ability to communicate effectively,get along with coworkers and management, and deal effectively andprofessionally under pressure
Musthave consistent, punctual and reliable attendance
