We are seeking a LegalAdministrative Assistant to join our talented team!

Overview:

The Administrative Assistant/LegalAssistant will support the in house Legal team. This position reports directlyto the Senior Corporate Counsel and is responsible for administrative and legalsupport. Essential qualifications include legal administrative supportexperience, the ability to accurately perform multiple complex legal projectsin a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical, communication, projectmanagement and problem solving capabilities. Experience with mergers & acquisitions or healthcare a plus. Ideal candidates must be self-motivated withthe highest level of personal integrity, discretion, judgment, and work ethic. Jobresponsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Essential Functions:

  • Perform all legal and administrative tasks assigned by the SeniorCorporate Counsel includingorganizationaladministrative support for the Department.

  • Prepares written communicationincluding correspondence, memos, minutes and reports in established formats anddistributes as appropriate. Review, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoingcorrespondence.

  • Assist attorneys withpreparation of template contracts and other legal papers of a routine natureand carry out related administrative requirements.

  • Coordinate and assistwith due diligence, organization, and correspondence during acquisitions andnegotiations.

  • Organize, file and trackkey legal processes and responsibilities and maintain files and manuals forefficient access and retrieval of information.

  • Prepare and maintainspreadsheets and databases for legal files or initiatives.Scan documents to maintain integrity ofelectronic file system.

  • Communicates withinternal and external parties in a courteous, timely, and professional mannerand represents the organization in a positive manner.

  • Develop and preparereports, committee and board minutes, and correspondence.

  • Maintain calendarsincluding appointments, meetings, travel and trip plans and CLE Reporting andProfessional Memberships for department attorneys.

  • Special projects asassigned by the Senior Corporate Counsel

Qualifications

E ducation:

Minimum:

  • Three years’ experienceas an Administrative Assistant and or Legal Assistant with experience providingexecutive or legal administrative support.

Preferred:

  • Associate Degree in SecretarialScience and Notary Public in Florida.

  • Bachelors Degree in related field with willingness to learn

Experience:

  • Work history in both alaw firm and corporate setting preferred. Law office manager experience a plus.

  • Will also consider acollege graduate with substantial Administrative Assistant or project managementexperience. This is not a position for a JD.

  • Experience preparingcorrespondence and drafting legal documents from templates, and preparingpolicies and procedures

  • Preferred: Health careregulatory and/or mergers and acquisition experience

  • Preferred: Experiencemaintaining legal file systems and electronic databases/contract managementsystems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work bothcollaboratively and independently and manage numerous simultaneous requests ina fast paced environment.This positionrequires a bright and nimble mind who prioritizes attention to detail

  • Ability to understandand compose complex correspondence

  • Must be self-motivatedwith the highest level of personal integrity, judgment, credibility and aprofessional demeanor.

  • Ability to handlecomplex and multiple legal projects in a fast-paced environment isessential.

  • Ability to communicateaccurately and effectively throughout all levels of the organization; stronganalytical, project management and problem solving capabilities; and a clearunderstanding of the importance of confidentiality and discretion.

  • Must use initiative andgood judgment to accomplish assignments accurately and on time with minimalsupervision and attention to detail.

  • Must be adaptable andcomfortable with uncertainty, fast paced environments, and change.

  • Ability to demonstratesa positive attitude, work well with others with desire to learn.

  • Excellent writing,organizational, proofreading and communication skills

  • Excellent word processingand computer skills including internet research, document scanning, andMicrosoft Office and Excel

  • Ability to read, write,speak and understand the English language fluently

  • Minimal travel may berequired
