We are seeking a FinancialData Analyst to join our talented team!

Overview:

The Financial Data Analyst will helpto ensure the quality of financial data used in management decisions, analyzemedical and financial data, document and perform SOX controls, and othervarying assigned tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare, and/or assist in thepreparation of, periodic metrics/deliverables:

  • PrepareFinancial and IT SOX checklists related to the completeness and accuracy ofdata throughout the process of importing, extraction, transformation, and finalreporting

  • Maintainthe documentation of IT processes and data sources

  • Maintaininternal reporting metrics and tracking mechanisms

  • Track,assess, and report the status of cross functional projects related to ITinitiatives, acquisitions, and integrations

  • Createand prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as necessary

  • Other responsibilities as assignedby the Sr. Manager of Decision Support to support other areas of Financeincluding Medical Economics, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Accounting

  • Works independently with externalbusiness units and departments to ensure an understanding of downstreamimplications to external and internal reporting

  • Assists the management team inidentifying more efficient methods to improve processes

  • Exhibits a high level ofself-accountability and proactive awareness in regards to developing trends indata needs that could result in risks, or opportunities, for the organization

  • Always maintains the appropriatelevel of privacy and confidentiality in accordance with Corporate policyguidelines, HIPAA, SOX, and any other regulatory guidelines as applicable

  • Consistently exhibits behavior andcommunication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment tosuperior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each andevery internal and external customer

Qualifications

* Education: *

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-yearcollege in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems.

Experience:

  • 0-2 Years of Accounting, IT Audit, FinancialAnalysis, or related experience

  • Prior managed care, healthcare,and/or health insurance experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectivelyacross all departments at varying levels of the organization, but mosteffectively with the IT organization

  • Demonstrates knowledge of softwareapplications supporting FP&A, accounting, and other finance functions

  • Ability to quickly understandterminology, complex processes, and the suite of reporting applications thatsupport financial and operational decision making

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted AccountingPrinciples and Sarbanes Oxley

  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Excel and Access is required

  • Strong knowledge of other Microsoftapplications including Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Knowledge of SQL programminglanguage, databases, information systems, and ERP systems

  • Strong attention to detail on allwork performed

  • Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills

  • Ability to work independently anduse independent judgment
