You’ll begin your journey at DaVita as a hemodialysis nurse where you’ll be responsible for the delivery of all dialysis related nursing services for the End Stage Renal Disease patient. After your initial training you’ll enter into leadership development series where you’ll learn firsthand how to be a successful leader at DaVita. In addition, you’ll learn what it means to lead through your head, heart, and hands, while building strong relationship through training excellence and patient-centered care.

Some details about this Leadership Bridge Program position:

  • You will be trained for your first 9-12 weeks with a class of new teammates at a training clinic or facility

  • Your training will include a combination of classroom and hands-on learning

  • At the end of your training, our intent is to place you as staff RN position within one of the five New York boroughs

  • After successful completion of your initial 12 week training you will be eligible to enter into the leadership development series

  • If selected for this leadership development series you will continue to work as a Staff RN while spending time with a mentor and attending leadership sessions aimed to help you enter into a clinical leadership role should one exist at the end of your mentorship program.

  • This position may require that you will be willing to float to various clinics during and after your training

  • You must have a flexible schedule and able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

A Qualified Registered Nurse (Staff RN) shining star should bring:

  • Current RN license in the state of practice

  • Preferred BSN

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • A.D.N from accredited school of nursing required; B.S.N preferred; three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree

  • Flexibility to travel within a certain geography

  • One year of nursing experience working directly with patients

  • Desire to coach, lead, and mentor other teammates

  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and build rapport

  • Demonstrated ability to assess situations quickly and provide solutions

  • Thrives in a “Gets Stuff Done” environment
