* Overview: *
Under the direction of the Provider,the Clinic Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with Companyprotocols, established standards of nursing practice, and the FL Nurse PracticeAct. Promptly screens patients with signs or symptoms of illness. Works with the clinical team for appropriatetreatment, plan of care and disposition. Ensures patient monitoring and follow up. The Clinic Nurse reports to the CenterAdministrator.
Contributesto and supports the corporation's quality initiatives by planning,communicating and encouraging team and individual. Maintains a strong focus onquality and continuous improvement within job scope.
Maintainsan active nursing appointment schedule for assisting the Provider in themonitoring of members’ health care needs.
Assiststhe Care Manager and Provider in the follow-up management of post-hospitalizedor post-emergency room visits.
Comprehensivelyscreens patients for care opportunities and collaborates with treating physicianto develop care plans that meet patients’ needs and result in appropriatequality care.
Providescondition specific patient education and anticipatory guidance, as well as carecoordination, under the guidance of the Provider.
Maintainsclinical documentation within the medical records assuring compliance withinall guidelines.
Providesdirect nursing care, comfort measures, emotional support to patients.
Comprehensivelyscreens patients for care opportunities and collaborates with treatingphysician to identify referrals to care management.
Executesorders of Provider based on knowledge of cause and effect of order afterverifying accuracy.
Performsselected IV therapy and administers prescribed treatment per Provider order.
Documentsall interventions, responses, and outcomes.
Initiatesstandard emergency procedures until Provider or EMS is available.
Appliesprinciples of asepsis and infection control.
Compliancewith Company’s Code of Conduct, HIPAA regulations and the Florida Patient’sBill of Rights.
Performsadditional duties as assigned.
* Education: *
Certificatein Practical Nursing Science required for LPN; Associates or Bachelor’s degreein Science required for RN.
ValidFlorida LPN/RN license.
Abilityto obtain CPR certification within 60 days of employment.
Abilityto obtain IV Certification within 90 days of employment. (LPN Requirement)
* Experience: *
2– 5 years of experience in Med-Surg, ER, ICU, Acute Care is preferred.
Experiencewith electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.

Excellentinterpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledgeof medical equipment and maintenance. Ability to learn how to maintain medicalequipment.
