Overview:

Under minimal supervision, provides day-to-day management of the warehouse employees who are responsible for the receiving and distribution of materials. Oversee implementation and maintenance of PAR supply rooms across the organization. Uses data-based analysis to monitor supplies in inventoried locations and proactively makes supply chain decisions based off of inventory turns, seasonality, and trends in use. Develop, implement and facilitate procedures for determining and providing appropriate supplies and service to our customers using lean concepts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct work of staff, including supervision, hiring, and terminations; determine staffing needs, and ensure efficient utilization of staff. Evaluates job descriptions and makes changes when appropriate. Provide positive leadership that effectively and efficiently manages and enhances staff morale through coaching, facilitating, supervising, developing and motivating people. Helps set department goals/benchmarks leads standard work reviews and audits.

Perform specialized inventory control and supply chain management. Oversee the purchase of standardized inventory materials. Constantly reviewing products and data to ensure cost effectiveness. Actively monitors and works to increase inventory turns in all PAR locations while avoiding stock-outages.

Recommend and implement revisions to operating procedures/standard work and schedules to improve internal operations. Works with all Management levels on process improvement initiatives based on lean techniques such as waste elimination, standardization, and inventory reduction. Oversees the project management and implementation of departmental inventory supply rooms using the Par Excellence inventory control system.

Perform procurement and purchasing functions for the TEC warehouse. Sources requisitions and works with vendors to replenish inventory in this location. Works with procurement staff to determine items that are good fits for warehouse distribution and develops appropriate inventory levels and distribution strategies for these items.

Resolve complex purchasing/inventory control problems.

Complete monthly reports to include quality measures, benchmarks and inventory controls statistics. Will also perform data analysis, as needed relating to products and/or clinic supply costs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum: High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three to five years warehouse/inventory control experience managing official or unofficial inventories. Minimum of one to two years supervisor experience, preferred. Computer analysis, database management, and reporting skills are required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Computer literate.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel).

  • Ability to type 25 wpm.

  • Supervisory skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
