DaVita Claim Submission Coordinator in Malvern, Pennsylvania

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As a member of the Production Control team, this position drives speed to payment and improved revenue yield by ensuring all claims are received by the payor timely and accurately. Day-to-day tasks include preparing claims for submission, working adhoc submission projects, partnering with internal teams to resolve open issues, and escalating trends to leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Prepare primary and non-primary insurance claims for submission

  • Pull appropriate support documentation as requested by the payer and attach to claims for submission

  • Coordinate and/or perform rebilling or other special projects

  • Review and take action on key reports

  • Partner with internal teams to resolve open questions as necessary

  • Escalate claim submission issues or trends to leadership as needed

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:

oWork overtime with little or no notice as needed

o

Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed

oKnow, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Some prior experience in medical billing or claim submission preferred

• Basic comfort level with Internet and MS Office environments (Word, Excel, Outlook) required

VISION REQUIREMENTS :

Vision adequate to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of position including repetitive use of computer monitor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. However, in general, the position requires the following physical activities:

Ability to lift minimum of 2 pounds to a maximum of 10 pounds, and able to sit for extended periods of time to perform duties; occasional moderate range of body motions including some standing and walking, and occasional stooping, stretching, reaching

Ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals to accomplish required tasks in a timely manner is a core requirement of this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Level III - Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)

No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or other hazardous conditions.
