Overview:

Provide integrated support under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to HealthCare Partners clinicians and patients by managing prescription refill requests.

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.

  • Performs and supervise clerical and administrative duties as directed.

  • Process medical refill requests per protocol, facilitating non-protocol refill requests, and resolving other medication refill related issues or problems.

  • Documents pertinent patient information in the electronic medical record as it relates to job functions.

  • Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards.

  • Actively participates in process improvement initiatives.

  • Participates regularly in staff and departmental meetings

  • Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum: High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum: 1-3 years of experience.

  • Preferred: 3 years and above of experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Computer literate.

  • Knowledge of Windows and MS applications (Word, Excel).

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work in a relatively unsupervised environment with a high degree of accuracy.
