OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives within the organization. This position serves as a consultant to our management team on human resources-related issues and acts as a change agent/champion for all employees within the organization. The position formulates partnerships across the HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees. The HRBP will have responsibilities in: employee relations leave of absences, recognition, workers compensation, and HRIS functions. Interprets, recommends and administers DaVita Healthcare Partners and Human Resource policies and procedures to promote positive employee relations within the organization and minimize risk to the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate the organizations commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.

  • Assist with investigations, preparing documentation, analyses and writes comprehensive fact finding reports on employee relations issues, workers compensation, LOA (leave of absence) to include FMLA and any other required documentation.

  • Interprets and applies DaVita HCP policies and procedures, past practices and applicable federal and state laws and regulations to decisions impacting employer-employee relations; makes action plan recommendations to management.

  • Administers all DaVita HCP policies and procedures pertaining to employee relations practices, which may include but are not limited to: Leaves of Absence, Terminations, Performance Management, Payroll notifications, workforce reductions, site relocations, etc.

  • Assist with handling employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.

  • Partners with management staff on employee Performance Improvement Plans (PIP); provides feedback to HR management regarding PIP and Annual Performance Assessments for employees.

  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

  • Assist with generating data to measure and evaluate exit interviews, voluntary and involuntary turnover data, etc.

  • Coordinates and manages DaVita Healthcare Partners employee recognition programs.

  • Promotes and embodies DaVita HCP’s mission, vision and values as an organization

  • Responds to general employee requests for information on company programs.

  • Creating, planning, implementation of all company employee events

  • Recommends new processes and procedures within the employee services function to promote department efficiencies and realize cost savings.

  • Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education :

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or combination of experience and education

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or (SPHR) certification preferred

Experience:

§Minimum of three years’ experience in Human Resources.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and listening skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to create and transcribe comprehensive, accurate documentation

  • Computer literate with strong internet resource skills

  • Detail orientated with excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work with all levels in the organization

  • Demonstrates the ability to take initiative, ask questions, prioritize, and multi-task

  • Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, employment laws and regulations to include FMLA
