DaVita Trainer - Dialysis Patient Care Technician in Houston, Texas

As a Patient Care Technician Trainer You'll play an important role at DaVita and in the lives of patients and their families. You will be responsible for partnering with new Patient Care Technicians who are transitioning into their new roles and going through extensive training with them.

As a Patient Care Technician Trainer you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with new Patient Care technicians.

  • Going through extensive training with the Patient Care Technicians.

  • Provide support, continuing training and continuing mentoring for all new and existing PCT’s

  • You will remain with the PCT’s for their first year to ensure success in the role.

Qualified requirements for Patient Care technician Trainer:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required


  • Must have 3+ years of dialysis experience


  • Must be a preceptor or have preceptor experience

  • Strong knowledge and exemplarily at following Policy and Procedure with the ability to support others learning DaVita P&P

  • CCHT certification required

Other key requirements:

  • As a Patient Care Technician Trainer, you must enjoy being a preceptor, have passion for development and training of PCT teammates. Must be able to have excellent relationship building skills, ability to connect with people, and knows when things should be escalated.

  • Will need to work closely with preceptors and will also need to evaluate their effectiveness to better support the Division; this will include working within the facility and evaluating teammate readiness in the clinics.
