Overview:

Responsible for the successful delivery of clinic wide facility workplace space and construction planning, supporting the entire Facilities team with CAD and BIM technologies. This position is also responsible for maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations specific to this role. This role is primarily tactical, with some strategic involvement.

Project Planning:

  • Responsible for proactive space planning for assigned projects.

  • Initiate and execute key elements of projects including: Planning, programming, design coordination, project management, feasibility plans, analysis of facilities budget control, project documentation and project close-out.

  • Support of all business units to ensure optimum planning and quality of space as it is related to customer and patient needs

  • Develop an understanding of overall project goals and constraints. Act as primary contact for clients on multiple projects as assigned by manager.

  • Develop project plans that ensure efficient, safe, compliant environments.

Space Management:

  • Participation in clinic wide initiatives regarding facility remodels. Develop conceptual and drawings of record that support all clinic operations

  • Create/maintain a space inventory database and report on space utilization and churn rates.

Administrative:

  • Collaborate with Manager to develop department budget and forecasts spend with an emphasis on the capital budget.

  • Establishes the maintenance of required records, drawings, procedures, etc. necessary to align with operation of the Facilities Maintenance/Engineering, Security and Disaster Planning departments.

  • Partner with Finance to complete all project accounting

  • Follow up on customer surveys

  • Develop innovative solutions to support Business operations

  • Ensure compliance with project benchmark data and measurements concerning customer satisfaction

  • Implement approved standards and processes

  • Communicate with Manager concerning project progress and issues. Provide manager with feedback on vendor/partner performance issues.

  • Monitor team members from other disciplines to achieve project closeout.

  • Work with Manager to initiate and implement process improvements. Develop innovative solutions to support business operations.

Team management:

  • Management and development of planners, project managers, draftsmen, and individual contributors.

  • Drives operational excellence and continuous improvement within the facilities planning department aligned with overall Facilities department direction.

  • Drives safety and environmental compliance with all regulations.

SCHEDULE: Exempt 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum:BS/BA in business, architecture, engineering or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum:6 years’ experience in Facilities engineering, architecture, and construction.

  • Preferred: Experience in Healthcare Facilities

  • Certificate/License: FMP, CHC preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of Building codes, and regulatory compliance requirements,(preference healthcare focus).

  • Expertise of AutoCad, BIM, Visio, and CAFM systems software

  • Proficient with word and data processing software’s, (Microsoft suite)

  • High level of customer focus

  • Management of multiple priorities

  • Independent problem solving with strong negotiation skills
