OVERVIEW OF POSITION : Supports the new teammateonboarding process by scheduling drug tests, background checks, coordinatingcompletion of the I-9 and monitoring the processes to completion. Thisposition also provides information and answers questions from candidates,teammates, and management to facilitate the onboarding processes and completionof required employment documents. The PS Specialist Level 2 serves as theliaison between DaVita and third-party vendors regarding background clearancerequests and answering vendors’ questions.

  • Consistently exhibits behavior andcommunication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment tosuperior customer service, including quality, care and concern with eachinternal and external customer.

  • Answers telephone calls and emailsfrom candidates, teammates, and managers regarding new hire processes,paperwork requirements, and background checks; records all inquiries incall-tracking system; answers questions related to onboarding policies andestablishes and maintains positive working relationships with management andteammates

  • Manages teammate onboardingprocesses and adherence to employment compliance requirements ensures andmaintains document compliance and schedules drug tests, background checks withcandidates and facilities, coordinates completion of I-9 and other documents,and monitors process to completion

  • Identifies potential onboardingissues or concerns; researches, provides clarification, and facilitates problemresolution.

  • Notifies management and/ordepartments regarding onboarding process issues; collaborates and advises asappropriate to limit company legal liability and escalates non-complianceissues and concerns.

  • Identifies trends and issues withthe onboarding process flow; makes improvement recommendations to departmentmanagement.

  • Serves as liaison between DaVitaand third-party vendors regarding background clearance processes and drugtesting; coordinates requests, answers questions, monitors and receives results

  • Other duties and responsibilitiesas assigned including but not limited to:

  • Working overtime with little or nonotice as needed

  • Attending team meetings, phoneconferences, and training as needed

  • Knowing, understanding, andfollowing teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or companyprocedures

  • Consistent, regular, punctualattendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of thisposition

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Minimum

  • High school diploma / GED

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area required or progressivelyresponsible work experience in related area may be substituted in lieu ofdegree.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ Human Resources experiencein recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and/or employmentcompliance preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws andregulations at state and federal level required

  • Demonstrated experience in new employee orientationand I-9 process preferred

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook required; intermediate computerskills and proficiency in Workday, HireRight, and eScreen required; experiencewith applicant tracking systems preferred
