Financial Systems Analyst

Responsiblefor the systems aspects of Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and ClaimsCheck generation including the design, development and maintenance of databasesand reporting tools, as well as the planning and development of technologicalenhancements and upgrades that will result in improved efficiency and increasedreporting capabilities.
Consistently exhibits behavior and communicationskills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superiorcustomer service, including quality, care and concern with each and everyinternal and external customer.
Develops and maintains systems and workflows thatresult in timely and accurate accumulation of data.
Demonstrates technical expertise and understandingof the database structure and relationships of system requirements to projectoperational needs. Participates indecisions on database and report design and structure.
Develops routine and ad hoc schedules, statements,reports and analysis as necessary. Provides documentation of developments.
Troubleshoots system issues for Finance, Accounting,Accounts Payable, and Claims Check generation staff.
Identifies areas for streamlining processesinvolving staff and system resources.
Monitors system available disk space on the PCnetwork.
Supports the Manager, Finance Systems in themaintenance of Accounting and Finance databases and other system needs.
Determines system requirements and availableresources. Makes recommendations tomanagement for cost-effective improvements to systems hardware and software.
Develops system downloads/uploads, imports/exports.
Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health InsurancePortability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or aprofessional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-yearcollege.
Degree in Computer Information Systems or BusinessAdministration.
- Over 5 years and up to and including 7 years of experience.
- Experience working with XMLi, MS SQC databases andprogramming.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
In-depth knowledge of databases and systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interface effectively with internal andexternal customers.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to train staff.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Exceptional MS Access and SQL programming skillspreferred.
