We are actively recruiting a Senior Analyst to join our Corporate Development team. The team works closely with leaders and teammates across Strategy, Finance, Contracting and Operations within DaVita Medical Group. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting business combinations and related strategic projects by assisting in the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, hospital partnerships and joint venture opportunities nationally. The role will also provide support to contracting and operations teams for ongoing deals negotiations, in addition to analytical support for hospital partnerships and business development to achieve strategic and clinical goals.

The Senior Analyst will work with a group of highly motivated teammates with consulting, investment banking, and clinical experience and will be expected to successfully manage multiple work streams and effectively communicate analyses within the team and with senior executives.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential transactions, contracts, and partnerships, including valuation analysis (comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and related investment returns)

  • Provide analytic support in planning and executing strategic growth initiatives

  • Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them

  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business

  • Identify opportunities and manage active deal pipeline

  • Participate in and assist with coordinating meetings and due diligence sessions with target company management and external investment advisors (e.g., investment bankers, lawyers, and accountants)

  • Evaluate alternative payment models (e.g., bundled payments, capitation)

  • Understand upcoming policy changes to healthcare landscape (e.g., legislation, CMS requirements and programs)

  • Effectively communicate the findings, value, and impact of various analyses

  • Develop and present memoranda, presentations and detailed financial analyses to senior management

  • Research, review and screen potential partnership opportunities

  • Document scope-of-work requirements, ongoing partnership strategies, and project deliverables to advise department managers on partnership and network performance



  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related analytical field from a top undergraduate program preferred


  • 1-2 years of transaction-oriented or other rigorous analytical experience. Experience or summer internship from M&A group at a leading investment bank, corporate development department, or comparable experience a plus

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Financial / analytical skills: strong quantitative background; detailed knowledge of financial statements and valuation methodologies; ability to create detailed financial and operational models (“zero-defect analyses”)

  • Presentation skills: comfortable assembling detailed analyses and comprehensive strategic rationale in PowerPoint

  • Communication skills: ability to research, synthesize, and concisely convey work plans, analyses, and transaction rationale. High energy and ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Management skills: able to drive multiple pieces of work forward simultaneously

  • Self-starter with ability to think and work independently and problem solve

  • Strong communicator and relationship builder with the various stakeholders in a given transaction

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Willingness to travel (up to 20% of time)
