Responsiblefor supporting the various reporting and analysis needs of the operationregions by acting as a liaison between the operating regions and the Financedepartments

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communicationskills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superiorcustomer service, including quality, care and concern with each and everyinternal and external customer.

  • Obtains a thorough understanding of medical andoperating infrastructure of each region’s operations to be able to proactivelyanalyze and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenueenhancements. Regularly meets andinteracts with regional teams or other applicable internal constituencies inreviewing historical operating results and to proactively identify and analyzepotential revenue enhancement and cost saving opportunities in the medical andoperating expense areas.

  • Performs a variety of pro forma financial andoperating analyses as requested by regional teams to support potentialproposals.

  • Generates various reports of financial andoperating data as requested by regions or as necessary to assist regions inbetter understanding issues underlying data requests.

  • Works with regions and other applicable Financedepartments to effectively analyze sources of significant budget variances andfluctuations in medical and operating expenditures. Meets with regional teams to review resultsand develop recommendations for necessary follow-up.

  • Reviews and understands fluctuations across regionsin delivering cost of care of given specialties (supplementing existingspecialty cost analysis reporting) and variations in cost of care of keyinstitutional services. Differentiatesimpact of rate versus utilization variations.

  • Performs and executes other financial andoperational analyses as requested by Finance or regional management.

  • Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health InsurancePortability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or aprofessional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-yearcollege.

  • Master’s degree preferred.



  • Over 3 years and up to and including 5 years of relatedfinancial analysis experience.


  • 2 to 5 years experience in a medical group ormanaged care environment.


  • Computer literate.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel,Access).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
