The Director of Design & Implementation will work as part of our high impact Commercial Innovation and ACO team, engaging as an operations expert for both designing and implementing new commercial products. The Commercial Innovation and ACO team focuses on one of the DaVita Medical Group’s primary growth engines, the commercial insurance market and ACOs, where we both partner with payors in designing geographic-specific products, and implement the operational framework to effectively optimize care for members under these products. This high visibility role will engage directly with senior leadership across our market and include partnering with functional lane leads in scoping and developing the operational framework for implementing new products, crafting and executing clinical operation benchmarks, and managing our provider network. As a result, the Director of Design & Implementation will develop a depth of expertise across all lanes of the healthcare delivery model, and play a critical role in the successful implementation of new products and our commercial member growth.
Partner with clinical leads to develop and implement operation benchmarks
Co-develop provider education content with clinical leads
Maintain and optimize our provider network
Collaborate with other teams to scope and develop operational framework for implementing new products
Pose the right questions and structure analytical frameworks to address those questions
Take feedback from subject matter experts, align consensus, and drive process/change
Clearly synthesize insights, both via PowerPoint and verbally, and present recommendations to executives
Must be willing to stretch “up” and “down” in responsibilities
Requirements / Qualifications
10 years of total work experience required, with at least two years of prior experience within a healthcare organization
Understanding of the managed care industry as it pertains to insurance, physician groups, hospitals, risk contracting and incentive arrangements
In-depth knowledge of various types of contractual relationships payors may have with a provider
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
Ability to work efficiently and effectively for 10 hours / day
Comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment
Bachelor’s degree required
