Overview:

Responsible for assisting the Manager, Benefits inthe day-to-day administration of Health, Supplemental, Wellness, and Retirementplans

Essential Functions:

  • Consistentlyexhibits professional behavior and communication skills that demonstrateHealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superior customer service, includingquality, care and concern with internal and external customers.

  • Assistteammates with claims and coverage inquiries

  • Administrationof 401(k) and Non-Qualified Deferred Comp programs

  • Coordinatewith vendor partners, internal departments, and parent company for benefitsadministration

  • Conduct benefitsenrollment presentations

  • Createbenefits communications and presentations

  • Analyze andreport on complex data

  • Comparebenefit plan rates and designs and summarize differences

  • Preparededuction/contribution reports for payroll

  • Researchand resolve deduction and enrollment discrepancies

  • AdministerLeave of Absence and disability claims

  • Administerreimbursements for teammates use of transit and tuition reimbursement programs

  • ProcessQualified Medical Support Orders

  • Pay andreconcile carrier invoices

  • Assist withtesting of HRIS system benefits plans set-up

  • Assistmarket benefit partners with navigation of HRIS system

  • Managecontent on company intranet

  • Uses,protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) onlyin accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)standards.

  • Performs additionalduties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High schooldiploma, G.E.D. or equivalent. Includesspecial certification required for specific jobs.

  • Bachelor’s degreepreferred.

Experience:

Minimum:

  • 3 or moreyears experience administering benefits in a corporate environment

Preferred:

  • 4-5 years ofbenefits administration experience in a corporate environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Prior use,including data entry and reporting from an HRIS system, preferably Workday

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills.

  • Provenexcellent organizational skills.

  • Generalfamiliarity with benefits administration laws such as ACA, COBRA, HIPAA,Section 125, ERISA.

  • Provencustomer service skills, including daily high call volume.

  • Ability totravel as needed

  • Bi-lingualSpanish is a plus
