Director of Special Projects to Executive Chairman

The Director of Special Projects will lead high priority strategic and finance initiatives reporting directly to the Executive Chairman of DaVita Medical Group. The Director will play a key role as a thought partner, strategic leader, and internal consultant. This position is also responsible for driving initiatives, focusing on growth strategies, and financial analytics. The Director will be responsible for the analysts and work with business partners to develop growth strategies and support the senior executives on specific projects.

Topics will likely include:

  • Broad-based growth strategies (in-market strategies, geographic expansion and business line expansion)

  • Responsible for synthesizing numerous sources of data and key analysis and translating into specific actions

  • Stakeholder strategies (e.g., physicians, payors, health systems)

  • Spearhead special projects, structure the work, manage the process, drive the right set of analyses, and present the answer to leadership through a compelling storyline

Through their work, the Director will gain a strong understanding of the business and significant exposure to senior leaders, positioning them well for future opportunities within strategy or elsewhere in the DaVita Village.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Top-tier MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum of two years post-MBA experience in top tier management consulting, investment banking, or corporate healthcare role

  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare, especially the payor or provider space a major plus

  • Expert level computer skills and proficiency in MS excel, word, and power point required

  • Ability to engage directly with senior level executives (e.g., CEO, President, etc.)
