To perform compliance oversight,prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse and mitigate compliance risk for theMarket medical group, coordinated care, and related businesses, and managecompliance projects, programs, and processes and report progress to complianceand Market leadership.


  • Consistently exhibits behavior andcommunication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment tosuperior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and everyinternal and external customer.

  • Supports the National ComplianceProgram and provides “boots on the ground” in the Market to ensure an effectivecompliance program operates consistently within the Market. This includesproviding compliance training to new hires, following up on on line compliancetraining, informing Market leaders on compliance policies and conductingcompliance committee updates.

  • Manages compliance projects,programs, and processes and report progress to Compliance Department and seniorleadership.

  • Identifies new risks and projectsthrough various intakes, including regular meetings with stakeholderleadership, legal, and external sources; and collaborates with the operators toimplement compliance solutions.

  • Improves processes, implementcontrols, and develop and implement the HCP National Compliance Program withinthe market.

  • Oversees arrangements to includeprovider compensation, acquisition transactions and other provider relatedarrangements in order to document compliance with Anti-kickback statute andStark Law.

  • Understands and documents keyprocesses, programs and initiatives.

  • Works with internal/externalattorneys to assess identified risk.

  • Manages Compliance Departmentinitiated investigations, including interview/fact finding and analysis,presentation of recommendations to executive leadership, and remediation/rootcause process enhancements.

  • Manages special projects, includingroot/cause analyses, data analytics, process improvement, and controldevelopment.

  • Partners with other directors incompliance & leadership to manage larger compliance team.

  • Represents Compliance Department atvarious business leadership meetings.

  • Uses, protects, and discloses HCPpatients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with HealthInsurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

  • Performs additional duties asassigned.



  • Minimum:Bachelor’s degree from a four-yearcollege required.

  • Master’s degree in HealthcareAdministration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.


  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experiencein healthcare required.

  • Minimum five (5) years managementexperience required.


  • Prior experience with health plansor managed care organizations, or large, decentralized health care providerspreferred.

Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federalfraud and abuse laws required.

  • Demonstrated ability to present andcommunicate effectively with executive management.

  • Experience supervising workperformed by outside vendors and contractors.

  • Superior drafting and communicationskills required.

  • Proven track record of collaborativeproblem solving with senior management and business leaders to achieve businessgoals.

  • Excellent computer skills andproficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated experience withmanaging data analytics projects.

  • Travel required: up to 25% oftime.
